Matt Broussard's Flour Tortilla


  • Abbio Nonstick Skillet
  • Stand mixer


    • Let the fat or lard come to room temperature 


    1. Add all ingredients to stand mixer and mix until the dough is quite elastic 
    2. Portion dough into golf ball sized balls and set aside
    3. Let dough balls rest for ~20 minutes 
    4. One a time, one a lightly floured surface use a rolling pin or wine bottle to roll out the dough into thin tortillas 
    5. Turn your pan on to medium high heat, and cook the tortillas ones at a time - about 30 seconds on each side. 
    6. Put the tortillas in a warmer, or between damp kitchen towels and enjoy!
