Pan-Searing Tuna


  1. Set tuna out on cutting board and let it come to room temperature 
  2. Place pan on stove on medium-high heat
  3. Add two tablespoons of sesame oil in hot pan 
  4. When the oil begins to smoke carefully place the tuna in the pan 
  5. Let the tuna steak cook for two minutes, flip and cooking for two more minutes (please note that cook time is dependent on the thickness of the fish - you don't want to cook the center of the fish, just the exterior) 
  6. Remove the tuna from heat, let it rest, and slice into strips against the grain
