Throw an egg on top for breakfast, put it over greens for lunch, or serve it with rice for dinner.
INGREDIENTS
Neutral oil
1 clove garlic
1/2 shallot
1 bell pepper
Two inch piece of ginger
1 pound ground beef
brown sugar
Fish sauce
Soy sauce
Oyster sauce (omit if unavailable)
Red chili paste, or Sriracha
Beef broth
Water
Cornstarch
Basil
TOOLS YOU NEED
Abbio Large Nonstick Skillet
Knife
Cutting board
Plate
Small mixing bowl
PREP
Dice shallot, and onion and set aside
Mince garlic and set aside
Slice bell pepper and set aside
RECIPE DIRECTIONS
Place Abbio Large Skillet over medium high heat and add two tbsp of oil
Once oil is hot, add diced shallots, garlic, ginger to the pan.
Add bell peppers and fry for 3 minutes.
Place all the veggies on a plate, and add the ground beef to the pan.
Brown the ground beef, and while its cooking make your sauce.
In a small bowl stir together 1 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tsp fish sauce, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tsp cornstarch 1/4 cup beef broth and 1/4 cup water.
Mix the sauce until well combined, and taste. Taste and adjust to your liking.
Add sauce and vegetables back to the pan and cook until ingredients are well combined and the sauce is thickened.
Top with basil and serve with rice, or over greens.
